Up for auction is our intermediate blizzard water to air intercooler kit, from our blizzard series of intercoolers, to suit Holden factory supercharged 6 engines (L67 engines). This is about the thickest intercooler plate that you can install in your commodore without having to modify the firewall*, which is required with our mega blizzard installation, whist producing very similar power gains to that of the mega blizzard! 

With a low starting price of $1750 and no reserve, it represents exceptional value considering the fact that the recommended retail prices of these intercooler kits are around $2900!

Exclusive to our blizzard range of water to air intercoolers, is their composite thermal resistant housing! What this means this means is that our coolers do a much better job of cooling the air from the supercharger, compared to their aluminium counterparts as the composite housing doesn't absorb anywhere near as much heat from the engine! Not only does this improve outright power, but also significantly reduces heat soak issues over conventional aluminium housings.

With the installation of our intermediate blizzard intercooler, it allows you to drop from a 3.4 to either a 2.8 or 2.7 inch pulley, on a virtually stock car and all without the need of an expensive tune**. In addition, car idle and drivability remain unchanged even with the factory tune!

You can run an even smaller pulley for higher boost, however you ll most likely require a custom tune.

With horsepower gains of over 45rwhp+ common, the intermediate blizzard offers exceptional value for money.

Our intercooler kit includes the following:

• 3 piece core, with our exclusive composite thermal resistant housing!
• Full size front mount radiator (600 X 330 X5 0mm)
• Front mount radiator brackets
• Quality 5GPM Johnston pump
• Injector rail extenders
• Longer supercharger bolts
• All hoses including fill kit
• All hose clamps, fittings
• All installation accessories
• Fitting instructions

From the previous list this kit comes with everything you need except for coolant (genuine Holden coolant required) and a new supercharger belt.

Bonnet and firewall will required modification during Commodore installations.

We also offer precision CNC porting of the supercharger and lower intake manifold.

As the intermediate blizzard raises the supercharger by 52mm firewall modifications are not required on VT-VY models, however they may be required on earlier commodores. To overcome this issue the lower intake manifold can be machined down (we offer this service) or shims can be installed under the transmission cross member and K frame for additional clearance.

As every car is different, we always recommend that you get your intercooler kit installed by a professional or at least inspected by one
